Swift River

The Swift River is a fun section for first time paddlers when the water is low.  The river is narrow and twisting filled with little drops and chutes that are easy to run.  All rapids are portageable if necessary.  The put in for this run is on the 3600 Road close to 29 km.  The takeout is a little complicated, turning off the 300 road at 15km.  The little drops on the run are followed by pools and calm water.  Allow for more time at low water because the flows slow considerably.  At high water this run is not suitable for beginners.  This run is good for wildlife, fish and Goldpanner viewing.
